BRT Realty has assembled an outstanding commercial real estate financing team to assist and advise our clients with their loan needs. Our clients, many of whom do not meet traditional commercial real estate lending guidelines and cannot receive financing from conventional lenders, benefit from the combined expertise of our lending team specialists.

 

Jeffrey A. Gould

President and CEO

A member of the Board of Trustees and the President and Chief Executive Officer of BRT Realty Trust. Jeff Gould has an outstanding record of accomplishments in commercial real estate lending. He is a vice President of Georgetown Partners, Inc. (the Managing General Partner of Gould Investors L.P.), Senior VP of One Liberty Properties, Inc. and Majestic Property Management Corp. Mr. Gould received a BA from the University of Michigan in 1987. He is a member of the Real Estate Board of New York Finance Committee and the Young Men's Real Estate Association of New York, Inc. He was recently voted by Real Estate NY magazine as one of the 'Top 40 Under 40' leaders in the real estate industry.

 

Mitchell Gould

EVP

An Executive Vice President of BRT Realty Trust. Mitch Gould was a past president of the Metropolitan Mortgage Officers Association. He is currently a board member with the Young Mortgage Bankers Association. Prior to joining BRT, he was a hard money real estate lending officer for North Fork Bank, Bayside Federal Savings and Bear Stearns, Inc. Mr. Gould is a graduate of the University of Vermont, where he received a BS degree in small business management in 1994.

Lonnie Halpern

VP

A Vice President with BRT Realty Trust. Lonnie Halpern has extensive expertise in structuring, underwriting and originating real estate financing opportunities. Prior to joining BRT, Lonnie practiced real estate law at a major New York law firm. In this capacity, Lonnie represented clients in a broad range of complex commercial real estate transactions and financings. Mr. Halpern received a B.A. from Cornell University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School. Lonnie is admitted to practice law in both New York and Massachusetts, is a licensed real estate broker in New York and is an active member of the Urban Land Institute.

William O'Hagan

Senior Underwriter

A Senior Underwriter with BRT Realty Trust. Will O'Hagan has extensive expertise in underwriting various types of commercial real estate assets, as well as structuring and originating real estate financing opportunities. Prior to joining BRT, Will worked on debt and equity transactions at one of the nation's largest mutual insurance companies. Will worked on a broad range of institutional quality commercial mortgage transactions, as well as investments within private equity real estate funds. Mr. O'Hagan received a B.S. from Ohio University and an M.B.A. from Pace University's Lubin School of Business. Will is also working toward receiving an M.A.I. designation.

 

Alon Rosenzweig

AVP

An Assistant Vice President with BRT Realty Trust who has expertise in structuring, underwriting and originating real estate financing opportunities, Alon Rosenzweig is an instrumental member of the BRT lending team. Prior to joining BRT, Alon was an assistant property manager for Levine Builders, a Douglaston (Queens) based general contractor, developer and owner/operator. Mr. Rosenzweig received a B.S. from Indiana University in 2003.

Dana Canavan

Director of Marketing

Director of Marketing for BRT Realty Trust. Dana Canavan has over 15 years expertise in corporate sales, marketing and branding. Prior to BRT, Dana was employed as Senior National Account Manager at a start up eCRM company, Nativeminds, and as National Corporate Channel Account Manager at CA (Computer Associates). Dana was Liberal Arts major at the University of Arizona and VP of National Honor Society Phi Theta Kappa while attending Suffolk County Community College where she received her AA in General Studies.
